The process was not perfect and I already know how to make things a lot better for next year. Although I came up with the idea and headed it all up, it was an impossible task to accomplish alone. I would like to personally thank Mr. Magoo (Tom Graham), blackice912, and Agentsmith for all their help. I would also like to thank all 1,100+ of you who voted. It was a much larger turnout than I could have ever expected. I will be getting in touch with the publishers and such starting tomorrow. Acceptance speeches will be appended if any are submitted. On a personal note: I so wish burnout 3 would have won best racing game lol. There are other games with a much greater focus on sound, ambience, and mood-fitting awe inspiring music. Half Life 2 just left me feeling lonely, which is more of a design flaw of every first person shooter than an intentional effect. As for me, I'm just happy it's over. I woke up at 11am this morning and worked straight through till 3pm. Tom Graham and I conference called over skype with Tom Warren a bit and then individual calls back and forth all afternoon. Poor him having to deal with me lol. Therefore, Halo 2 is limited to the hardware of the Xbox and Half-Life 2 has virtually unlimited resources. I agree, Half-Life 2 is a great PC game, but you cannot compare (in my opinion) PC games to console games.
