Before you answer, check out following essay by Jonathon V. Last;

I've always sided with The Empire myself. When both Death Stars were destroyed, was I the only person that felt bad for all the families of those that the rebels killed?

Think about it, both Death Stars were just being completed. That means each still had thousands of contractors working on electrical, plumbing...alll the unfinished construction. Then suddenly rebel terrorists come out of nowhere and commit mass-murder! And these guys were just trying to earn a living by completing their legal government contracts!

that part of that essay was ripped right from the movie 'clerks'..randall explains his empathy for the empire to dante using the death star's destruction as an example...did he cite his sources?

edited: almost word for word..especially the 'legal government contract' part..

rebellion :)

don't mean to pick a fight..just didn't like how he said "am I the only person that felt bad for all the families of those that the rebels killed?" then proceed to prove his point by stating somebody else's point..more or less in verbatim..oh well..

Luke killed one million people when he blew up the first Death Star. Less than half that were on Death Star II.

The first Death Star blew up Alderaan. Alderaan's population was 14 billion.

If you say the Empire is better, you are an idiot. The Empire was racist against all species except for humans. The Empire ruled by fear, not rule of law. There are hundreds of things the Empire did wrong, I just don't feel the need to list them.

Also, the Old Republic is what turned into the Empire. The Empire didn't take over by force.

I vote for the Empire. Vadar has always been brilliant in my mind. He commands such presence. Powerful character. The rebels are a bunch of wimps...bah..

the funny thing is..you could easily replace 'vadar' with 'hitler' :)

..plus, the rebels had han solo..hahaha..good points episode

The rebellion - i think this essay is rediculous. It takes everytying out of context. Ever seen

"Meet the Parents"? It's like saying that Ben Stiller really is the bad guy because he said the word "bomb" on an airplane.

lol!! love that movie!

"bomb, bomb, bomb..bombbombbabomb!" :)
