Messenger Niggles...

Dunno if any1 else has the same problem...

I am Running 4.5.0118 and i think previous versions of messenger did the same... (i Have had Messenger Plus! Installed Too!)

Well... Both the Sound Alerts don't appear 2 work... i just get a quik "Bleep" from the system speaker. Also the alerts that pop up in the bottom right hand corner don't work!

All Of these are enabled in the options tab of messenger...

Any Ideas..?

I Appreciate this is a BETA... but i'd love 2 get em back!

I have the same problem with the alret popup. 98% of the time I will hear the sound but no popup and then when I do see a popup it is at the very far left of the screen and I can only see half of it. and I also have plus installed.

no i think the problem is Desktop X

I believe it is Messenger Plus! installed. When I upgraded to the leaked version before Build 118, It worked fine until I installed Messenger Plus! Then I got the computer speaker beeps. I just upgraded to Build 118, and all the sounds work fine. When I upgraded, MSG Plus! was uninstalled, so its no affecting me anymore.

but why did "Activate Product" Appear in top 10 most used apps!?

I Clicked it, it sed U're office product is activated or whatever!??

Well it could be desktop X because I have it installed. But I think it might be a combination of both MSN Plus! and Desktop X. Tell me what you guys think.

im not sure what i did, but i got my alerts working again. i uninstalled plus! awhile ago. then i uninstalled desktop x and i still got nothin. just today i reinstalled desktop x and theyre back! i dont know how it worked but it did.

The sounds problem was identified as Plus a while back I think.

A number of people are complaining about the alerts with Desktop X so it probably is a mixture.

Hmm same problem here, I also have DesktopX and MSN Plus installed!? And also WindowFX...And I tried to install windowblinds XP version but when i trie to open it it just goes to my display settings :ermm: so i dunno....

Anyway I hope someone will find a fix. Cause it seems you and I are all too lazy to uninstall some programs :lick: :lick: :lick:
