Spykes424
Okay I have a Tivo w/ service (already payed lifetime fee), (guide, updates, etc) and a Tivo w/o service. Do I need to pay 2 services, or can I plug both into the same phoneline and have both services? bangbang023 Veteran Posted February 4, 2005 Veteran Share Posted February 4, 2005 That lifetime service is specific to that box and that box only. You will need a second plan. Joseph Zollo
I believe you can get the second tivo for $6.95/month! Goto manage my account on tivo.com and activate the second one, you should get the multi-box discount even though you got the lifetime activation. See http://www.tivo.com/1.6.2.asp#MSD for more info! PS - I think we need a dedicated DVR forum on neowin! QuarterSwede
Ughhh, they make you pay per TiVo. That sucks. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/280403-2-tivos-1-service-plan/#findComment-585415437 Share on other sites
dan87
there is another option, but it isn't as nice as having a real tivo box. If you mod your xbox you can use XBMC to connect to your tivo (you have to mod that too), and then you can watch live streams, as well as your recorded shows. Sure streaming isn't as nice as a real box, but it's a cool solution since if you have an xbox and network connection, you can watch your shows all over the house.
