If Nexus had been written in VB.NET then Lee could have compiled using Mono and had a working Linux version in no time.

Yup :)

dotNET

Framework == Windows

Mono == Linux

But I still don't know when the application will be converted to .NET, I'm with my main part about to be done.

FlySpray is 100% ready. The only problem I have is the fact that neither Tim nor Lee bothered to sign up so they can view it.

I just aquired paid hosting for myself recently and I will be re-setting up the site on another server (http://nexus.randompanties.com for the website most likely) and it should be set up withen the week (I have Friday and Saturday off of work so I'll transfer everything over then).

I also haven't been able to keep in contact with Lee for the main fact that he lives in the UK and I live in Canada causing massive time differences.

I guess I can spoil a bit about what has been happening. Because of the limitations of Visual Basic, we have decided to move the project in a new direction. Last thing I heard, it was being developed in C# now. Why did we do this? More flexability, better ideas, dynamic skinning (XML) and a possible Linux port.

But it's really hard to contact Lee sometimes.

We are still looking for a skinner for the project if anyone wishs to join up.

I think C# is the way to go, vb6 is way too obsolete now :p

Xero, of course, this will be distributed for free and you want to be the only one paid... if you don't want to help them, fine, someone will probably do and design something better.

I would try to do something (although I believe there are peopple out there that could do a better job than me) but I have some final exams left and some other work to finish first.

you are the one that show no respect, you don't even know how old I am so keep quit yourself. I just thought this could be a great application with your design skills but I guess I was wrong, now I know that someone will do a better job than you that's for sure.

as far as I know, I'm entitled to have my own opinion, either you like it or not, and my opinion is that no one in the nexus project should pay no one to make them a design, either you are inside the project and are willing to help or out of it.

everyone is helping out for free, no one is paying any one, Cryptic_Night even said he bought a host and you, the mr universe, wants to get paid? I would never pay to anyone like you in my life with that stupid and arrogant attitude. I suggested your concept to this project, and just because everyone seemed to like the idea and to like the concept even before nexus time, do you think you're better than anyone else? guess what, you are not!

and one more thing, you are making public statements, so either you like it or not, this is my opinion and this is what I think about you and your attitude. even if the team behind nexus agrees with me or not and even if they decide to pay you, my opinion won't change a bit.

but I just hope that they find someon not just talented but willing to help on the project and not to consider it another job? sometimes, things are better done by people that are willing to do them and help than to be paid for them.

Easy guys, Xero has some great skills, so don't knock him. A simple "Nexus is not willing to pay a skinner" would be sufficent. And I'm pretty sure saying "Keep quiet when grown ups are talking." didn't help much either :p .

Everyone just take 2 or 3 deep breaths......

Aw, isn't that better?
