krcatmember
Hello all... I was recently given a seemingly decent Compaq Internet and Multimedia Keyboard (model #KU-9978). The one I have is basic and not too snazzy. My problem is that I HAVE been able to download the driver for it, but the software that makes all the quick keys and media functions work CANNOT be found. Have I not looked hard enough? I'm already a member of DriverGuide.com which is how I was directed to the correct driver. The main functions are fine, but why have a multimedia keyboard if the frikkin contraption can't be fully utilized? If anyone happens to know, I'd greatly appreciate the guidance. Thanks Sheldon Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/285434-any-way-possible-to-get-full-software-for-compaq/ Share on other sites
dreamsINdigital
Should be this I think... http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwar...twareitem=33780 I don't even bother anymore. It's pretty poorly designed. If I remember correctly, even with the software installed, you need to go through a website to cofigure the buttons, which leaves a cookie on your computer to direct to the sites you specify. I think the website you need to go to to configure the keys has been down since Compaq merged with HP. My keyboard is like that one, but I have the Smart Card reader in mine. Mr. Black
If it follows standards, you can use the MS Intellitype software with it. I had a Labtec Keyboard that didn't have good software, and found that the regular MS software worked with it. Give it a try if your stuck.
