I was hoping the Rams were going to go for Sharper. Although the Vikings really needed him. At this point they need someone to pump up that Defense. What are the Browns going to do about QB? Dilfer is not the answer. The second year kid, Luke McCown (?) had a good college career, maybe he should have a chance?

Brad Johnson is still looking for a team. But I can't see him playing for the Browns.

Former Eagles' DE Derrick Burgess signs with the Oakland Raiders. He gets a $6 million signing bonus.

Wow.  Thisi s a huge mistake by the Colts.  Like him or hate him, James relieves a LOT of pressure off Peyton.  With no RB, defenses can worry to stop the pass only.

Mistake or not, if we end up keeping James, we lose 3(or more) players, thanks to his salary demands. Remember, he takes up a large portion of the salary cap.

If we lose James, it may be possible to afford a defense that could actually get the Colts somewhere. Problem is, we probably won't. Not for $8 million.

Falcons sign free agent linebacker Hartwell

Hartwell, 6-1, 250 pounds, played four seasons with the Baltimore Ravens after being selected in the fourth round of the 2001 draft out of Western Illinois. Hartwell has been one of the mainstays on a Ravens defense over the last three seasons that is widely considered one of the best units in the NFL. Hartwell posted 141 tackles last year, second on the team to LB Ray Lewis, with 83 solo tackles and also added one forced fumble in 15 starts to help the Ravens finish sixth overall in the NFL in total defense. With Hartwell's help, the Ravens defense allowed just 3.6 yards per rush, tied for the best in the AFC.

Good move, now if we could only stop the pass... :pinch:
