aco Veteran Posted May 27, 2002 Veteran Share Posted May 27, 2002 I was just waiting for someone to ask. :D If you are a betting man (or woman), I'd be putting money on Argentina to make the semi-finals and to score the most goals in the competition. Argentina (providing they make it through the first round aka the group of death) will not face as strong competition until the semi-finals. They may either face Brazil or France which will be a challenge. I am going for Italy, but whether they will win or not is a different story. They have a moderate run to the finals (providing they qualify first in their group, they will probably not face any teams who I consider the dangerous - France, Argentina and Brazil), if they do make it to the finals, they will face either Brazil, France or Argentina. Turkey will more than likely finish second in their group and therefore qualify for the next round. They are on the easier side of the draw (sort of) with Italy. But, being realistic, we're probably gonna finish 2nd in our group... leading to a match vs France in the next round... when we lose to the best team in the tournament. I hate to say it but that's probably what's gonna happen.
