Original_
I consider myself fairly experienced with fixing Windows problems; however, I have never seen anything like this. The best way to see what the problem is is to look at the screenshot. The problem is that the font is enlarged in a few applications (AOL Instant Messenger, ATI's control panel, all InstallShield installations) for no apparent reason. Furthermore, there does not appear to be any anti-aliasing on the font (which is strange). So, if anyone has any idea how to fix this, or what caused it (because I have no clue), that would be much appreciated. Original_
That font is called 'System'Your fonts must be screwed up somehow. Check fonts under the Appearance Tab > Advanced 585534425[/snapback] Everything under the Appearance > Advanced tab is setup normally (that was the first thing that I checked). All the font sizes are set to normal and the proper DPI... It is only a few specific programs that have been hit by this, so any ideas on how to fix it? Is the normal font used in these applications missing? And, if so, what font is it and how is it missing? Original_
Bumpity, bump, bump. Is there some sort of utility that can detect missing, well known fonts? Anyone have any suggestions?
