Chances are I'll just recolour it to black (again :rolleyes:) and be done with it. The IRC client in the screenshot is irssi running on my server and accessed via ssh in cygwin. Using Console as the terminal (www.sf.net/projects/console). The IM program is Miranda-IM with the clist_nicer plugin - just search the miranda/neowin forums for more information (www.miranda-im.org). After over two years with the same basic desktop (only changing the wallpaper twice, and that wasn't a major change really), it's nice to finally use something totally different.
