windows update v6 beta broken

i keep getting this page when i go to windows update no matter how many times i reboot.

there must be a registry setting somewhere that stores this info that i can clear.

can anyone help?

heh. WU broken again. you knew v6 was beta. that's why people should wait until teh final is out.

let me try to find some more info on howto fix this...

Windows Update V6: http://update.microsoft.com/windowsupdate/v5a/default.aspx WARNING! It overwrites the V5 version, and there is no known way of returning to V5 after installing V6!

didn't think the beta would mess up so easily

it worked just fine the first few times i used it.

thanks insanekiwi for the help

i just went into windows\downloaded program files\ and removed the WU activex control and went to the site again and it installed it and it's working now, thanks!

Hmm... maybe you have to wait some time, and get the updates manually :pinch: One reason I have not tried v5a (6) was because it overwrites v5, and in case of trouble I can't return. Serves you a lesson for next time ... long long time hehe. Anyways, if I would know something about this, make sure I will post ;)
