tokrachi Posted September 26, 2002 Author Share Posted September 26, 2002 OK, I am not going to upload the v1 installer as i am now on a dial-up connection and wont be sitting here watching 19mb of installer upload (no time) But what I can offer for the moment (for the adventurous) is the icons that will be in installer v2. They are all sorted into directories with the same name as the file to be modded and all the icons are numbered accordingly. In offering this up, I will say right now. I am not going to help you mod your files (there is a heap of tutorials out there, with all the answers to your questions) do a little reading b4 you ask a question K ? I dont mean to sound rude or anything like that, I just dont have the time ATM to help out everyone. I replaced some of the control panel icons and now ther are double ! One old icon 1 new one.. can u pleaze tell me how to fix this Never mind i found out how... do not put the file.cpl and file_original.cpl in same folder or they will make two. Boratus Posted October 1, 2002 Share Posted October 1, 2002 I made my own shell32 build 2800 (SP1) in german directly after SP1 was released. I used as base the old converted shell, which flied months ago in this board. Getting it SP1-compatible I just took restorator and opened my original shell32 2800 and the converted mmx-shell. Then I just copied all branches execpt AVI, Bitmap and ICONS from the original shell to the mmx-shell using drag and drop. Saved the shell and integratd it. Runs perfectly and took 5 minutes!! tokrachi Posted October 2, 2002 Author Share Posted October 2, 2002 OK, I have been working a little with the developer of Restorator (the only modding app you should be using) ;) and the latest devloper build he has put together now has the ability to add resources with the Respatches (this is one thingthat has been holding me up). I still dont have a huge amount of time to work one the installer at the moment, but I am quite happy to put together some patches for you all to keep you going for a while. SO, name the files you most want modded and I'll get to work on some patches. I can't wait until my XP gets a major facelift (& fake boobs).
