IEview skins the chat window.

Modern clist (or whatever flavour you have) skins the user list.

None of them skins both, and the PurePlastics template is for IEview and will not change the look of the user list....

There's no plugin that enables skinning of the titlebar or borders, that's not mirandas fault,

that's because noone (users, not dev team) cba to make one since there's very good alternatives for that.

Most people ususally want the same border and titlebar style like the rest of their windows.

If you want a program that can be fully skinned then miranda is not for you.

And i suggest you drop the ****ty attitude when people try to help you, or you'll find yourself alone with your problems in the future.

well I am on a tight schedule with other things I need to get done so I am kinda stressed out when I really want something to work and work fast.(I just got a problem not being able to focus on something if I start something aka miranda til I finish it which would be to get it working) I just wish the screenshot I saw did not give the impression that it did skin the message windows title bar and border. Could not tell from the screenshot that it was not independent from the other skins, if I would have saw this screenshot I would have understood a lot faster http://img73.imageshack.us/my.php?loc=img7...plastics3fv.jpg

well thx everyone, I finally got it working. And another thing that probably did not help my transition is that I have been using trillian for years so I kinda expected the skins to be independant of the operating system, including it being able to do a lot more. Which it is able to do a lot more, no one happens to know of a program that can apply specific Visual Styles to specific programs aka miranda do ya?

After banging my head over and over as to why certain IEView skins were not working correctly, I finally unearthed why CSS and scripting would not work. It turns out my security settings in IE were turned way up; turning to 'medium' will allow the proper ActiveX scripts work. Hope that helps!

Yea deciever, that should do it. And yes you can apply specific visual styles to certain programs through a tweaking utility and i think there's a way to do it w/ reshacker. unfortunately my internet is screwed up so i can't go to that site. I think it's under the "other UI" category at http://wint.virtualplastic.net/hackindex.php

You make empty groups with no name and place them in between the full groups ..

can u be more specific on how to make the emty group, kuz when i do it, the emty group shows up it is not invisible...

In ur clist edit section there should be 'Empty Groups' make it all transparent then name ur group with 'space bar' so it will look like spaces .. when u dont want the empty groups right click on your clist and check hide empty groups .

SpeedDemon. I think there is a way to seperate the groups through the clist_nicer plugin. There's a "Last contact in a group" thing or something and i think you can change hte spacing. To get rid of the + or - go to the menu, then click on "icons", then on the main icons there should be those icons, import a transparent icon and replace the + and - icons with the trans icon.

Actually, to get rid of the expand/collapse group icons using nicer clist just go to Contact List/List and in Groups choose "No expand/collapse icon". That's it. Simple as that :D

I just wish separating groups was this easy.

Faller: 1. He was talking about seperating the groups. 2. I have used clist_nicer and haven't seen that option anywhere.

SpeedDemon: I'm on a linux computer now, (just got it all set up :D), so i don't have miranda, but i opened up the GIMP(free photoshop alternative) and threw together this icon for you :).

note: I don't have web hosting currently, so i'm using IPB's "attach file" thing. I don't really like these things, so if it doesn't work just pm me and i'll email you the file.

BTW, i don't like gAIM that much, does anybody know of any projects that have miranda ported to linux systems?

I'm new to miranda. I have version 0.4.0.2. How do I get the avatars to show up on my contact list and also using the ICHAT BUBBLES plugins.

When using the ICHAT Bubbles pluggin, I can only see my AVATAR, and I cannot see anyone else, it just gives me a white square with red X in where person's avatar is supposed to go.

hello....... just had a question about miranda .... not sure if this is the rite place to post it but anyways

ermmm the question is about emotions so here goes... say for e.g. i dont have this  emotion on my system and a friend (on msn) posts that emotion while chatting .... so basically i cant c that emotion .... thta's the problem (does tht make sense ?? ) does it happend to everyone of is it just me ?

I'm still having problems with IE View.. I can't get the tabs or something to work in my chat box.. can anyone help?

Are you able to screenshot what you have, and an example of what you want?

Does IE View actually work currently?

Are you looking to get several chat sessions in the one window?

Also, posting in the Miranda Customization Thread will generally get more responses, more quickly. I don't think people wander over here too often.
