neojoker
I'm working on a computer with Outlook Express, and whenever I try to send mail to someone on a different mail server/domain, I get an error (Protocol Error) from McAfee (I'm assuming the AV part). This is a brand new Dell, so I'm assuming it's the newest version of McAfee. However, when sending to someone of the same ISP/domain/server (you get the idea), the messages send fine. Any ideas? When googling, it seems that a lot of people have trouble with McAfee, but most of the problems were based on sending attachments, which is not the case here. Please share some ideas if you have any. MiG-
well i have mcafee and it works perrrrfect for me. check that you have personal firewall plus and then go to system services on the utilities part of firewall and make sure you have email ports unblocked. neojoker
Well, yeah I can try that. I just don't understand why it let's us send mail to users of the same ISP, but not to anyone else. Seems odd. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/292729-mcafee-protocol-error/#findComment-585567900 Share on other sites
