Windows Update Not Working?

Please help i get this Background Intelligent Transfer Service error when i click start>windows update.

Any support will be greatly appreciated.

Note: i click start>run>Services.msc and i turned on BITS but it still isnt wrkng.

Goto start > run > and type services.msc

then look for the services in that list and start them all or cahnge them to automatic

u need all the others on not just bits

i Still get the same thing... i deleted cache n windows folder, did av scan no avail...

please help..

Im thinking its a service... which services must i have runnig?

start >> run >> "sc config bits start= demand"

This changes the bits service to start when asked - the equivilent of setting it to manual in services.msc

The sevice needed is "Auto Updates", check that it's not disabled.

Thanks that was the culprit i thot it was for AUTOupdate not the site itself..
