0 amphore Posted May 3, 2004 Share Posted May 3, 2004 i use zonealarm since 2 year... recently, with my new 3mbps connection :) i use many p2p client like Bittorrent network and Emule. with a huge number of peer connection, zone alarm use 98% of my CPU, i switch to outpost and i dont have this problem anymore. my computer: 2400+ 512ram ZA do the job but is not perfect :) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Sometimes eMule uses a lot of resources, sometimes ZAP does, sometimes nothing happens at all. It isn't just for ZAP either, other firewalls get this problem too. 0 toadeater Posted May 13, 2004 Share Posted May 13, 2004 Used Zone Alarm and Outpost for a while, eventually settled on Sygate. Sygate is the best balanced software firewall available IMHO.
