Copernic Reporter Posted March 14, 2005 Reporter Share Posted March 14, 2005 This software lets you view and print Adobe PDF files on a variety of hardware and operating system platforms. The new version of Acrobat Reader provides a host of features that enable you to submit PDF forms created with fillable form fields to such applications as Adobe Acrobat Professional and Adobe Form Designer. Play back a variety of embedded multimedia content, such as QuickTime and MP3 files. Read and organize high-fidelity e-books. Activate search and accessibility capabilities built into your PDF files, and display Adobe Photoshop Album slide shows and electronic cards. Joe User 99
Damnit! When is Adobe gonna learn how to properly conform to Windows Installer standards? It does no good to release a update as another .MSI. It should be a .MSP! ******s. Now I have to have a second install, rather than just patching my 7.0 Administrative Install Point. ryanmcv
Thanks for the info By the way, are you sure this update is final and not still in the beta stages? I don't see it mentioned anywhere on Adobe.com. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/296626-adobe-acrobat-reader-701-update/#findComment-585616509 Share on other sites

JustGeorge
Why do they have to be special and use that Neotop FEAD installer crap? All it does is make the install time painfully long. JCAP
If you want to get rid of the ads from the toolbar. 1. Open a new text document and copy/paste the following code. Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\7.0\FeatureLockdown] "bShowAdsAllow"=dword:00000000 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\7.0\AdsInReader] "bShowAds"=dword:00000000 2. Save it 3. Change the extension from .txt to .reg 4. Double click the .reg file to import the settings into the registry. :) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/296626-adobe-acrobat-reader-701-update/#findComment-585617833 Share on other sites
