When I watched it live, I saw how it hit off and thought it was a homer based on the direction the ball took. No one else (White Sox coaches or players) seemed to care where it hit and there is no way the second base ump could tell. At the time, I didn't think it would matter since we eventually were up 4-0. Boy was I wrong. I will say this, having only one hit since the 4th inning was poor. And yes, when I saw the fireworks in the 1st inning, I shook my head in disbelief. The Sox wanted it more than the ASTROS did, that's basically why they won. This is our only championship for awhile since our Basketball team is not that great anymore and our football team stinks. He is not the BEST player, but he is a very good addition. I think they won because of Ozzie being their manager. He was always great when I used to watch him play, and I think he knows what it takes to make a great team.
