Google plans to double Gmail capacity

Recommended Posts

If you log out of your gmail account you can see at the log in screen or at least one of them there is a counter for how much space is in a gmail account and it increases slowly and is something like 2055.7435MB its rather neat and if someone who is good at math could figure out how many Megs are added a day that would be nice. I would probably guess around a Gb a year would be added!

fiine.. i don't really care, i know i suck at maths, and it's only 5 sec diff :s

If you're trying to make a calculation that you're presenting as accurate, make it accurate. The fact that 100 seconds=1 minute and 40 seconds is not difficult math.

I've already got 2GB with Yahoo!Mail as it is. But what's the point? I use a tiny fraction of all this space. I was fine when I only had 100MB :x

Yeah, except GMail is way easier to use, has way better search features, better organization features, less distracting junk to look at, runs faster, now holds more, and can act as file storage using a third-party file system shell extension.

Hehe it's like getting a new hard disk for free

But being limited to 10 MB files. :( It's still enough to store all my pictures from my camera and my mp3s, though. (Well, only if it never plans on stopping counting, or if it goes up to 10 GB.)

not to mention the fact that I've to refresh every other time I try to login as it fails to load. (Safari/IE-win/Firefox..on diff computers). This is a really unique feature ;)
