I actually enjoyed seeing the two page iMac add on the first 2 pages of one of my ESPN magazines a while ago. Quite yummy looking. UKer Posted June 5, 2002 Share Posted June 5, 2002 Mac need to advertise to play down the stereotyping and all the preconceptions people have when they think of macs (e.g. here it's school computers which aren't good for anything but graphics and which can't play games - which isn't true). Apple should try and show what their machines can do IMO, all the nice graphics and style used in their advertising plays on the fact most people think macs are only capable of nice graphics. There is also a 'mystery' in the average users eye which makes them sceptical of macs as those without technical knowlegde don't understand many of the machine's details like the OS.
