Apple eMac = old iMac???

Recommended Posts

And this is news to you? The eMac has been out for months and was initially designed to be a cheap (read < $1000) Mac for education. The stock levels of the new iMac are alarmingly low so I guess this could be a stopgap to get people minds of it before they give the iMac a speed bump.

Take a look at apple's new eMac. Is it just me, or are they making OLD iMacs again (like the ones with the flavours, colors, whatever) and calling them something new?

Looks fishy to me...

the emac might "supposidly" be the replacement for the imac since theres rumors going around that they might phase out the 15" macs, and the emac might be the successor, but i'm not too keen on the specs since theyre alot like the high level classic imac, except the emac uses a G4 processor and the classic imac uses a G3 processor, but the emac needs a combo drive (cd-rw/dvd drive)
