PureEdit
i hear MacMall is calling for the copys back. they made a mistake. 585816078 lol, at least there is nothing they can legally do to get them back. Somebody I know had theirs shipped, but they have not received it yet.

S.MULLA
so was build 428 final? or is there a 442 build?!?!?
Huy
Don't you mean, 428 is GM. 432 will be an ongoing effort towards 10.4.1? 442? I've never heard of it myself.

Vice
I'm really beginning to doubt the fact you don't have any problems with Tiger whatsoever, but okay. Stuffit 9 Deluxe only seems to have problems with files within separate folders. 585814617 lmao I am Happy to conform to any tests you want me to do. You tell me step by step what you did to cause the error and I will do it. The only problem I have come across so far is that MSN Messenger will not sign in for me. toastyghost
http://forums.macrumors.com/showpost.php?p...65&postcount=62 Looks like 8A428 is indeed the GM.
macman87
I'm suprised at the lack of built-in support for SIT files, but i can understand it to a point, what with .ZIP and .RAR being the dominant compression format these days, especially trans-platform.Safari 2.0...hmmm from what i've read, a lot of people approve, a few dont. I guess i'll have to see for myself, the slowness and bad rendering put me off greatly. However, if its better, i could force myself :p 585814719 I dunno about you, but I got the Stuffit expanded in my utilities folder. So as far as I am concerned, there is built in support for .SIT files. Also, Safari 2.0 is much much much faster in everything from rendering the page to how having many animated GIFs now don't put the system on its knees. I love it :)

Someone might want to fix that, before noobs are starting to panic;);)

Wickedkitten Veteran Posted April 23, 2005 Veteran Share Posted April 23, 2005 If anyone finds Tiger is chugging away like a cheerleader at a frat party and you have an external hd, add it to the privacy section in spotlight and it will speed up loads. PureLogic
I thought it wasn't allowed to give Tiger support. :p But like KeR said, it doesn't constantly slow the entire system down.

As far as the support goes, I don't really care because I certainly allowed it during Jaguar and Panther.
Elliott
I thought it wasn't allowed to give Tiger support. :p 585817246 Kitten has taken a different stand from Chad. mikedc1760
I've heard when people first install Tiger it goes very slow because Spotlight has to index your HDD, about how long does it take you? I know it depends on how many files you have and such but does it index quickly? That Kitten and Radish don't seem to have a problem with this "help" we should be able to do it because its 2-1 :p
