3d graph representation

Question

Hello, im writing an essay and need to include a graph but excel and the like dont seem to be able to accomodate what i want to achieve..

what i need is a 3d graph where the x and z axis are say a 5x5 square (must be an odd numbered square) but then the central point is dragged up the y axis to create a bell kind of a shape

i am trying to represent the matrix:

0 1 2 1 0

1 4 8 4 1

2 8 16 8 2

1 4 8 4 1

0 1 2 1 0

as a graph where the 16 is the middle and hence highest part, and the corners at 0 will be the lowest part

i have attached a VERY bad diagram for you to laugh at, thank you very much

as a guide the x axis should be 0 - 5, z 0 - 5, y 0 - 16

cheers!

 wow, we just finished parabloids in school man!

Well, here at the Aussie Science And Mathematics School, we use a little app called 'winplot' for all our graphing needs. its free to download, and is a really great tool.
