Xbox 360 design right under our noses?

Recommended Posts

Over on the Team Xbox forums ?McNasty04? has made a startling discovery:

?After reading the description of the supposed design of the next xbox. I noticed something when I went to look at something on xbox.com. Something about the design of the site caught my eye. In the article the person talks about how it will be able to stand on its side and is concave in the middle aka ?sucking in its cheeks?. Could the xbox 360 design have been in front of our faces this whole time? I am just merely brining this up because I found it interesting and thought it might interest a few of you.?

hello dave

i don't think the site has anything to do with it, no reason, just a hunch. That design is silver and the xbox 360 is rumored to be white. i know a lot of people think it will look nice and tacky, but personally it would be pretty effective, slightly like the ipod, only with a possible green motif and bigger! i think not havin a hd is a bit of a booger... i like storing my games on the hard drive! and my movies! :D stupid microsoft... gettin all fancy on us, id rather have a good hackable box :p

you're myyyy wife now dave!

Don't be so quick to judge. If the web site design is indeed a reference to the Xbox 360's design, it looks to be 'blobist' in style. IMO, blobism is as hot as current design gets.

Here are a few examples of 'blobjects' by the most well know designer of blobism, Karim Rashid:

I just printed it out and it's actually quite easy to stack things on top of it. What's even better is when you stack something on top of it, that's roughly 8.5 x 11 inches or larger, you can't even see the Xbox 360! BRILLIANT!!!
