Which is the best FONT for web browsing

In response to an older comment:

I believe the font used in Safari is actually Myriad Web, not Lucida Grande (the font which is used around the rest of OS X). I'm not entirely sure though since I use Myriad Pro now.

Consolas is a horrible monospace font, as d4rkn1ght said: Monaco is a really good choice.

Linux fans will probably reccomend Bitstream Vera which comes in Mono, Sans-Serif and Serif versions and that's quite nice too.

On Windows...

Variable Size: Tahoma

Fixed Size: Courier New

On Linux...

Variable Size: Bitstream Vera Sans

Fixed Size: Bitstream Vera Sans Mono
