Dale
VR Tech. In Nintendo Revolution... sweet man, thats what I have been waiting for since may of last year.. id be disapointed if it couldn't play Virtual Boy games if it was a visor though.. maybe Nintendo made some major backward compatibility changes since E3 2005 that they didn't mention... there are some pretty rare virtual boy games that I as a person would love to get my hands on, but they are so rare and hard to find that they can get pricy on Ebay. dnast
They couldn't possibly pull off that kind of quality at 480p...could they? Well, the thumbnails aren't even 480p, and honestly the full-size pic of the first shot doesn't look much better than the lower-res version, so I'd have to say that it's possible as long as the revolution can do enough effects and push enough polys (for the grass, etc.). With all the HD hype, people don't give enough credit to how good even 480i can look with just an s-video cable. I'd kill to have a game that looks as good as the latest big budget 3D animation DVD's I've seen on my simple 32" SDTV. BTW, I call bullshot on those pics without a source. :)

Epimetheus
Stop being sorry, there is no reason to be. Spam is a word generated by a bunch of elitists thinking their eyes should not be forced to read, or watch, something ever again. But the problem with it is, they choose to read it, or watch it again, then bitch about it being posted.

x-byte
Revolution Report Talks with ATI about HollywoodRevolution Report: A number of Web sites have inferred that Revolution will be significantly inferior graphically. While it certainly seems like Revolution won't output in HD, is it safe to assume that Hollywood will not feature a comparable polygon count or the same amount of graphical effects as the Xbox 360's GPU? Swinimer: What I can say is that ATI is focused, as is Nintendo, in making [Revolution] a great, gaming entertainment platform. I know that a lot of journalists are very focused on specs. It's the big thing; as a geek, I look for that too. The key thing to keep in mind is that Nintendo, with ATI's help, is trying to create a game console where you don't have to look at [specs]. From a broader perspective, we share in Nintendo's position that this console will be devoted to the general gamer. When you have a game developer developing [for] this, the goal is to ensure that they don't have to worry about the complexity that is required to develop the games by making them "jump through hoops." That was one of the benefits of working on the GameCube; developers were saying that it is quite easy to develop for and there are not a lot of complexities so they could produce titles easily. That being said, we want consumers to look at the game, play the game and be involved in it. We are doing our very best to make this Nintendo gaming experience the very best it can be. Erich
Opens up more questions than answers. Not really... I think, "what are the specs?" and "when is it going to be released?" were already the top questions... this article didn't extract them.
AbandonedTrolley
Just goes to show that Nintendo know what they are doing, people are already excited about how they are going to play the machine. Yet people don't even know what the games will look like. They have kept this suspense going for ages now and everyone is still as eager to get the newest piece of info on the machine, no matter how small it may be. :D
The Teej
Exactly. All Nintendo really have shown us is a bunch of people using the controller, the console itself, and a vague description of the VC. No launch title list. No fancy screenies or movies. Yet the hype is HUGE. Sony had to release screenshots, movies and tech specs in order to get the same amount of hype.
ElementalDragon
that's the one thing i've always loved about nintendo. a) they always try something new and unique, even when the tried-and-true is working well for the public. b) they almost NEVER release specs and screens, or pre-rendered screens for that matter, of what the console will be like..... only what it will physically LOOK like. c) they don't really care about getting the best, most realistic looking graphics for the console's timeline.... they're more focused on the gameplay, which is what REALLY matters. d) seems like no matter what they do.... people try it. why? cause they're curious about what it is, and what it can do. Now... back to the gameplay bit.... I hate when you find a game that looks REALLY GOOD.... then you start to play it, and within minutes it turns into a heaping pile of crap. even some PC games do that. like Guild Wars for example. granted it may be a good game over time ( i don't know... i've only ever played the trial), but the same holds true. nice visuals for an RPG.... but it's not an MMORPG, and it's not entirely free-roam. And from what i've read, they're planning on having the next installment of the Super Smash Brothers series as a launch title, or at least close to launch, which i think is gonna rock. think SSB is one of my favorite game series (along side Soul Calibur..... sadly it seems that it has gone the way of Sony only). i honestly think it will be revolutionary. and i honestly think they should keep it named Nintendo Revolution. it's got a nice ring to it i think. Erich
Ya I remember when the GC was named Dolphin and everyone was saying "I hope they change the name, dolphin sucks etc. etc." This time around, everyone wants to keep the name Revolution, I think they have a good thing going, they should run with it.
