Joel
It can't even do WEP, what a crappy console. Network options When Nintendo DS gained the ability to go online via a local wireless network, many security-conscious gamers lamented the fact that the system supported only WEP encryption. Wii's wi-fi network management interface is very similar to that of DS in style and function, but fortunately for those gamers, its options have been expanded. In addition to the standard auto-detect option, which I successfully used to set up a connection, you can set up a connection manually. Supported encryption types include not only WEP, but also WPA-PSK (TKIP), WPA-PSK (AES), and WPA2-PSK (AES). You can also specify your SSID, IP address, DNS, and MTU value. Finally, you can choose to use a wired connection if you have a first- or third-party USB ethernet adapter.
