I have decided To make a new question

Take into consideration that this, question is posed towards systems that have >1gb of ram.

I am not asking whether it is recomended....i am asking whether or not it improves performance.

Thanks

windows always needs the page file regardless of how much ram you have, also windows (system) cannot use all of the ram it has to be shared with the programs (application) . so to answer the original question no it wouldnt improve performance.

if you want to try something out (need a lot of ram for this one) create a ram disk with a 3rd part app and put the pagefile on the ramdisk, see the attached image for the one i created. i didnt leave it cause i only have 1gb of ram. it did incease performance if only by a little. as soon as i get another 1gb im going to create a 512mb ram disk and chuck the pagefile there
