It made him a huge security risk and that was also the reason why he got sacked at CTU. Sucks he died but there isn't a place for him in the series anymore. I hate the fact Michelle is gone tho. .Neo Posted March 15, 2006 Share Posted March 15, 2006 (edited) He deserves a better death. He was about to kill a man or at least intended to. Given the circumstances I found it a reasonable death. I know it's the man who's (partially) responsible for the death of his wife but if we all start taking matters in our own hands all hell will break loose, especially during a mayor crisis (hell, CTU lost over 40% of it's people). Both Jack (in Season 2) and Michelle (in Season 4) know that, a responsibility Tony lacked from day one. The alternative would be that Tony kept on living but locked away in prison for betraying his country for the second time and attempted murder. So in the whole "24 mentality" I would say his death was a good call. They just can't keep on reviving him.
