compares to windows....i think mac is alot better at keeping windows and mac updates up to par. For example compare msn for mac to msn for windows...its horrible i know. One upgrade does not seem like alot in quicktime however...and yet they seem to keep them pretty up to par. 7 will be coming soon im sure. Just wanted to prove that point.

There probably wont be a windows release for a while, so suck it up and deal with it.

And who cares about mac IE or messenger?

the page says windows version coming soon, but honestly who cares for windows? i'll get it when it comes out just cause i like having the latest version and i want to see how the HD quality is..but honestly if it wasn't for IGN putting their videos in quicktime or most movie trailers online being in quicktime, i'd have no reason at all to have it on my system and use it.

Thanks for the update, works fine under 10.4.2. Lovin' QuickTime 7 Pro!

I care about Messenger. If you look closely there's a whole thread about Messenger 5 for mac in the Mac OS and Software Discussion section.

As for Internet Explorer for Mac, it's dead.

Maybe Apple is doing the same to Windows users with QuickTime 7, as Microsoft is doing to Mac users with Messenger 5.

No Messenger 5 for Mac = No QuickTime 7 for Windows. :p

does anyone else able to see this update in their software update ?

I downloaded it via Software Update, no problems whatsoever.

Didn't you also had problems with the 10.4.1 update via Software Update? Maybe something is wrong on your system. :pinch:

I only saw keynote and dvd update nothing else, and the moving bar in software update while its checking for updates its not same as in panther, in panther it was fluid, in tiger it just seems like windows type :p

It's slower when playing hd trailer then 7.0, or maybe it's my own problem.

for windows users, I think 7.0 will come out at 06.06

Yep, when I upgraded to Tiger it wasn't fluid either unlike Panther.

Radish?
