Okay here is the situation. I just freshly installed WinXP Home. Now, I read on several pages that moving My Pictures (and My Music) is easy, just drag and drop the folder to the new location and WinXP is supposed to update itself. I do not want My Pictures to be in the default location in Documents and SettingsMy Documentsetc...I am trying to move it to my bigger D Drive. I followed the instructions explicitely, and a new folder is indeed created at the new location on D drive, however, the shortcut in My Documents and the shortcuts on my start menu have not changed, and therefore are pointing to the wrong location. I tried several times, both left clicking and right clicking to drag/drop, and also MOVING the folder and COPYING the folders...to the same outcome.
How can I move these folders so that not only are the files moved to the new location, but all of the system shortcuts point to the proper location?
