The original, top down semi-2D one. I remember my computer was too slow to play it and i'd get stuttering voices sometimes when i started hitting/shooting people.. "what are u what are u what are u what are u d-do-do-do-do-do-doing doing doing doing!?"

...did anyone else get that? lol

for those complaining about the gangster theme you obviously haven't played through it all yet. It's really only the first island where that's an issue, then it changes. IMHO SA has the best story out of all the GTA games. VC is more fun to fool around with no real purpose, but the story in SA is what makes me pick it.

They received the same feedback from young, urban, americans about ViceCity. They couldn't relate to Tommy at all.

The same way, I'm finding it hard to even understand some of the talk in SanAndreas. It's all a bit heavy on the anger and angro. But hey, it's a great game so far. I only got it Sunday.

Yeah, I just got it the other day. First thing I did was turn on the subtitles, because I couldn't understand all the "gangsta speak" or whatever.

Great game, though. Have to say that Vice City is still better overall, although I'm not too far into San Andreas.

Grand Theft Auto 3

I liked the environments and characters better, and it seemed revolutionary at the time. I never finished Vice City (I just couldn't get into it) and I haven’t played the latest one (yet), which I intend to do when I throw out my GeForce FX5200 and replace it with a real video card.

Vice City is better than San Andreas. Why?, because it's the 80's and you have this kind of never felt like before cruisin' on a bike/scooter while listening to John Waite-Missing You. No to forget the espantoso latin radio station suits well while doing mission with the Cuban :D

I think this poll should have waited a month or 2 till a lot of people actually FINISH GTA:SA. It's NOT all about gangsters and slang, infact it really only is for the first island, which isn't much of the story

Isn't much of the story? It's more than a third ffs. I've completed SA and didn't like it because of the ganstas. Sue me.

ok, I am replaying the game, and it took me 3 hours to get past the first island without cheating, I can guarantee you it'll take a lot longer than that to get past the rest of the game, especially since the missions are a lot harder and longer. If you're thinking 1/3 by territory then you're right, but playing time and you're totally off.

San Andreas. Doesn't get better then Compton gang-banging and 90's west coast rap

Took the words right out of my mouth

Loving GTA San Andreas. Great new features. Great music. Very long and most missions are harder than 3/VC but evenually Ill get to the second part of the state.

i played the GTA1,GTA2 GTA1969, GTA VC i didnt like the GTA1 GTA2 GTA1969 and i loved GTA: VC it the whole 3D thing of VC and story. im the type of person who likes to have every game in a serices, i cant win the 3 non 3d ones i thought they were good but i didnt like them. the wholel gangsta thing is for me since like i like rap music and the westcoast but i dont care about the music since i have the xbox, but the story looks good. i like VC and i related to tommy since it was like some of my fav movies. Im 17 so to say young and urban americans couldnt relate was wrong.

someone also say something about anger in GTA SA but i also saw anger in GTA VC the whole Italian-American gangster theam.
