TruBD Posted June 17, 2005 Share Posted June 17, 2005 hi im getting abnormally high cpu usage as you can see in the pic below caused by a combined 3 processes. ccApp which belongs to Symantec. explorer.exe and System i dont know whats causing it. symantec isnt doing a scan so it shouldnt be that high i did virus scan which took forever and it didnt find anything. i also did a adaware scan and nothing. i dont know whats causing it. disabling symantec av doesnt stop the high cpu usage either Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/333549-high-cpu-usage/ Share on other sites More sharing options...

Have you tried an online scan? http://housecall.trendmicro.com It could be a corrupt file or something with Norton. Try reinstalling it. Because explorer would update when this happens and your virus protection would have to scan it. Maybe no though because I don't know how that could happen.
