U.S. Women's Open

Recommended Posts

I originally planned to check in occasionally to see how Annika's quest for the Grand Slam would go. But I've gotten hooked to see how well Wie can do. She's currently leading at even par. Pretty insane for a 15 year old, even if she is supposed to be a phenom. In fact there are two amateurs in the top 5. Pretty good golf to watch. I think it's the first time I've ever watched a women's tournament.

Whatever you need to say to convince yourself :p. Yeah, Gulbis definitely isn't hard on the eyes lol. And Wie well she's 15 so I could probably go to jail for saying anything more lol. She's an attractive young woman. And friggin TALL! She's 6'2"-3" they were saying during the coverage.

hmm, i've never really heard her talk or anything....so i guess i don't have that opinion. was there something inparticular that she did that i happened to miss? the only thing i can remember was that her caddy (her dad maybe?) walked across someone's line once during a tournament...

well what a finish.

one thing that makes me wonder....why are all the women pro veterans getting schooled by these amateurs?

Different stylings. These new comers are much like the kids of today.....their bodies are reaching maturity at a much earlier time in their life allowing them to spend more time working on their power game.

Missed it because I was busy doing helping dad with home improvements (so to speak) but WOW what a fall Wie had. Worst round of the day. And she was pretty much done after the front nine. Considering Annika was already that far back I bet ratings dropped dramatically after that. ONE person under par for the day. They had a tougher Sunday than the men did last week lol.

but that doesn't really apply to the mens game. amateurs on the men side consistently get schooled, week in and week out. i don't really know the layouts of these courses, but maybe there's something about them that helps the power and aggressiveness these young girls have....

cuz on the mens side, the power and aggressiveness the rookies have usually gets them in trouble...
