Neowin's CS:S Server and Gaming Community!

Just wondering, does the map ever play any dust maps or office? They're really the only levels I look for when choosing a server and happen to be my favourites, but the only ones it ever seems to play are ones I hate :pinch:

Don't want to seem to be having a go, I think it's great having our own cs server, I'd just like more dust :)

Agreed. Maybe it be possible for it to continually roll dust maps and office and then only go to the other maps when it has been voted upon. Some of the maps e.g Pariara (sp?) and port as just so  ...well thats just my two cents..plus a dime

The server is always empty when I check.

I suggest exchanging GoogleTalk addresses so that one may alert and plan with others about game sessions.

GoogleTalk is useless. Using xfire is much better for something like this.

My xfire name is the same as my name on neowin. Although I'm usually playing TAM on UT2K4, I'm usually up for a round of CS:S. Even though I suck at it.

It's back up, but will be going down again later. The mani admin plugin was causing problems with the new steam updates. I just sent in a new ticket to have mani upgraded, so it will be going down again once that's finished.

Alright, I had to have them re-install the mani admin plugin, but it lost all the stats (wish they would have told me so I could have backed them up).

I'm rebuilding all the mani settings now. Everything should be back to normal later tonight, but feel free to play.

I also put up a new CS:S server, i havent had any problems with the new steam update and or mani admin so the server should be fine.

It wasn't the fact that the server was having terrible issues, it was the fact that the version of mani I had running was out of date and, considering Steam updates by itself and mani doesn't, I just needed to have the latest mani installed.

So user error.

Within the next few days, you may see changes in the server information presented -- we will be doing upgrades/changes to prepare for a DoD: Source server

One of the changes will includ the change of the CS:S server IP address. I have no control over this IP address change, and will post the new one as soon as we switch over.

why not use a dynamic DNS?

no i mean using a no-ip or somthing like that

Eh, it's useless. An IP change isn't that bad. It's not like the server is used a lot right now, so most people will be able to see the update here.
