Tim Dorr Veteran Posted June 28, 2005 Author Veteran Share Posted June 28, 2005 hmmm yeah, i like quicktime 7 so i'm gonna wait until iTunes works with it on Windows. Maybe in 5.0? 586131879 It does already. I've got 7 installed alongside iTunes. Quicktime is run entirely in the background from iTunes anyways... radioboy
I look forward to getting some podcasts. Does anyone know if they can be saved to disk? 586132137 where else would they be saved :-\? anyone else notice that the apple store no longer has the ipod photo as its own product? it's a 20 gb ipod or 60 gb color ipod now
Huy
I noticed that too nuggetman. I was trying to compare 30 and 60GB iPod Photos with the "new" 20GB and 60GB iPods (with colour screen) models but they've just streamlined the two lines into one. I would've liked to have seen 30 and 60GB iPods (with colour screen) though, since my 4G 20GB is getting a bit old (a year old). Good news though, it makes it easier to compare iPods with Minis instead of having to go through the iPod Photo vs iPod (monochrome) issue. moloko
Well nuggetman, I was asking if they are streaming or can be saved with only a few clicks. I have not tried podcasting before so do not know much about it.

Sticktron
Here's a reminder to grab Multi-Plugin 0.65 for iTunes. It now connects to foobar's audio engine to render sound (since 0.64). You can now get the "fantastic" foobar sound audiophiles rave about AND continue using iTunes' interface. p.s. for those unfamiliar with the benefits of using foobar, here are a few: - ASIO or KS (Kernel Streaming) output - bit-perfect - excellent software resampling - replaygain - plenty of plugins for everything you could want to do to the sound (EQ, Noise Sharpening, cross-fading, channel re-mapping, stereo up-mixing, etc.) *notes/// - set the foobar options to 16-bit/48Khz output for most sound cards, dithering, strong ATH noise shaping; - for 24-bit cards use 24-bit (padded to 32)/48Khz, no dithering; - put the Resampler plugin first in the chain; - put advanced limiter last; - Noise sharpening plugin is great (try 50% to start) :bandit:

Sticktron
hers a reminder that multi plugin .65 is not yet compatable with itunes 4.9 586133543 here's a reminder to check your facts before you post... MP 0.65 DOES work with iTunes 4.9, you just have to rename or delete the extended/QT_004.bmp file in the folder of the skin you are using (MAC OSX is default). autodefe
I'm just wondering. I noticed the new iPods have a Podcasting menu option from the main menu area. Why can't we get that option with our older iPods? Do you think Apple will add that new menu in a future firmware update?
