Vasquez
Hi All, I'm trying to connect the front panel on my case (Chenbro Gaming Bomb II) to my motherboard (Gigabyte GA-K8NXP-9) and they wires just don't seem to match up. Not only are the colours wrong but the number of pins doesn't appear to match in some cases. I *think* I have worked out a few of them but I'm not convinced I've got it right. Is there anybody that could help me out with this? Below are diagrams for the connectors on my motherboard as well as a photo of the case connectors. Japlabot
I don't see what's so hard to understand. Like what Hankyone drew. GND is Ground, just think of it as the negative terminal (-) for the Power LED. The black or white whites are negative(-), the colours are positive(+) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/339391-case-motherboard-front-panel-connectors/#findComment-586152544 Share on other sites
Vasquez
Thanks for the replies (especially Hankyone for that great diagram) it all makes sense now :D It was not only the different colour negatives that confused me, but also that the Power LED negative was on a separate single block and just labelled as GND. Unfortunately I have other problems now as my brand new OCZ 520W ModStream is DOA :( My newly built PC wouldn't power up and after removing the PSU and running some tests it appears to be as dead as a do-do :( At-least OCZ have three year warranties on their PSU's :D Thanks again for the help.
