Eh, the computer in your link is 100% not the computer depicted in the fake advertisement. G3 vs G4 aside, the keyboard and mouse button have obvious differences, and the whole shape of the two are not alike. The design is consistent w/the clamshell iBook, but as far as I know that never came in black, and of course was never a G4 Powerbook. I don't know about you, but my 1.67GHz G4 is pretty damn fast, I don't know what you plan on doing with the laptop, but Apple laptops never have been intented for a desktop replacement, the 17" model comes somewhat close, but its still not there in terms spec, ie missing a G5. You're going to be waiting at least one more year or more for a Intel based PBook, depending on what Apple decides to release first. If they are doing the consumer line first, that means the Mac mini, iMac, and iBook's will be the first to get transitioned over, leaving the Power line second to get it. Go to http://www.apple-history.com/ and look it up there. The processors are really slow so I wouldnt buy one if I was you. oh and.. it doesnt look like that spoof image. instant.human Posted July 6, 2005 Share Posted July 6, 2005 look, another black g3 ibook model...: i just made that with the invert-function of photoshop. not a big problem and with a bit more tweaking its gonna look real. ive seen that picture some time ago and it devenately is a fake... not just because there had never been black calmshell powerbooks, its like that the calmshell design was for ibook only. and someone mentioned before: one f in think different is missing.
