Dreamweaver default background

Question

Hey ... By default ... dreamweaver background is grey in color. (no, i DO NOT back "bgcolor"). As in the program background. Anyway to change it to white? Cause if I do put "bgcolor=white" .. it's not what I want.

Hope you people can understand. See my screenshot. I want the working (background) part to be white so it's easily for me to work with. But if I do Page Properties >> BG to White ... it will add the

<style type="text/css">
<!--
body {
	background-color: #FFFFFF;
}

for me which is NOT what I want.

Yeah ...

souds like you need to adjust your display properties in windows, not dreamweaver.

He's right, it's because your theme changed the default colors (i.e. pages without a background-color CSS property or bgcolor in the body tag display with the system theme colors)

right click on your desktop and go to properties (or go to display properties in control panel)

go to the appearance tab.

change active/deactive window background colors. you may have to hit the advanced, or settings button from there.

my machine here at work has restrictions so i can't get there myself, but that should help.
