it does not deserve to be skinned as it is a complete rip of MSN Messenger (N)

Then why did it have many of the features MSN has before MSN did? You've got it backwards, buddy.

I think the majority of Yahoo users are normally older people, not teens/preteens, so don't really care much about how it looks, just how it works. I think Yahoo is far superior to MSN (and it's NEVER down) but kids are more interested in "individuality on a mass scale" than functionality.

Microsoft thought of the idea, Yahoo stole it... it was kind of a race of who would add what new features to the Instant message client,

Jase have you looked at the Wave 11 mockups that have been around for some time. The features there like the buddy icon with background, clothes etc are all direct rips of a chinese messaging program that ahs had this feature for atleast 2.5 years since i've been using it called QQ Messenger.

Not only that but QQ messenger has had several mobile features for a long time and also offers some awesome features to those will to pay for it. QQ Messenger is THE IM of China, pretty much every1 uses it. If you want to watch other IM's rip off features check out that program and then keep and eye on Yahoo! and Microsoft. btw the chinese version is more feature rich then the english version as its usually a older versions (the english one)
