assalychris
Hello all, There are several rip formats in windows media players 10: the 3 wma settings as well as mp3. How to be able to make an mp3 variable bit rate format? Is it possible using windows media player 10? Thank you. 0 Zucker2k
You'll have to install a third-party mp3 encoder that supports vbr encoding (there are several online, google for them). In some cases you may have to manually "direct" windows to use that encoder as the default encoder and then WMP 10 will allow you to use vbr. You can do this under control panel, sounds and audio devices, hardware, audio codecs, double-click the mp3 encoder and change priority to 1. PS: In some cases the OS should automatically choose the superior codec.
