Because Australia isnt winning ...

edit: haha hopefully the rain keeps bucketing down for 2 more days.

That is a Bangladeshi sentiment now felt by an Australian, remarkable !

woo 1 and a half hours to start of play. it will either be an australia win or a draw, on tv in the morning brett lee said the team plan is go for the win but if they find themselves something like 4 for 150 they are going to block away for the rest of the innings. that's if the rain doesn't beat them to it. i still stick to my words that australia will win the ashes

jerry all i here you say is how cocky the aussies are and how crap they are but the only person i see here being cocky is you

Tu line par ajaye ga jab england kee team pakistan ka band baja bajaye gee october mein.

Pakistan beat England? Remember last time we beat you in Pakistan 0-1 your wicket keeper and captain whinning he had to go pray, well Hussain said to him hurry up and quit moving your field around every ball and I can get the 20 needed to win.

Ha

I can see the Australians playing for a draw today, but Freddie will bowl em out!

Ricky Ponting plays one of the best match saving innings ever. with the whole side crumbling around him. he scored 156 runs to lead the lead from the clutches of defeat to a draw. But credit goes to Harmison for possibly the worst last over in a crunch situation

I think OrangeSoul meant "England will beat Pakistan". Anyway...

And some great umpiring by Billy Bowden. :D It was nice to see that whole replays (alongwith hawk eye ones) were being shown on the big screen in the stadium. Haha it was funny how Billy was looking at it and how he was booed upon. Unless we see all these decisions going to the 3rd umpire, there's no use being bothered.

From the way Australian tail-enders played in the 2nd Test, it could have also gone in Australia's way even though they had just one wicket in hand.

Anyway the rain seems to have been the cause for the draw; otherwise there would have been a result.

Regardless of how good the England team is shaping up, Pakistan traditionally loses at home.

The irony  I'm not the one predicting that Australia will win or making outlandish comments.

Ironical isnt it ? Australia playing to save face, times have changed.

Exactly but thats how cricket is with an element of nature in the mix.

yeah but that Martyn dismissal was the worst, the ball inside edged from his bat and travelled 2 feet to his pads and Bucknor said out.

Before the Ashes began, Ponting proposed that fielders' word should be believed and third umpire for catches should not be called.

And then ..

Hypocracy.  Adam Gilchrist is the biggest hypocrite though.

whine all you want. england snatched a draw from victory

Whine ? You are the one saying Martyn was wrongly given out. Thats the way Cricket is, Umpires say OUT and you gotta go. It wasnt a surprise to see Ponting argue with Bucknor over it, I'm sure the ICC will like always ignore it.

I'm laughing at their two-faced attempts, its that much apparent & as pathetic. Shame that more people fail to realise that.

england sucks at their own game

 ?

  • 2 weeks later...
They won't be able to save the follow on this time, a win for england is on the cards.

One can never be so sure, what if it rains like it did in the earlier test and help Australia manage a draw. Boy, I pity all those who thought this day would never come (Australia playing to save face, relying on the rain gods etc.)
