I like the Longhorn logo:

I don't like the new one, to much like Windows XP, but that's my opinion.

yeh that logo is way better (longhorn)

Look at the shadow on the new logo, its terrible. its like the standard shadow from xp, it's all squared and blocky looking

I like the new logo but I still prefer Longhorn for the name but they need a name that means something like they did with XP

Honestly, how is Vista worse than Longhorn? Longhorn was the worst name possible, it sounds like a parody. Why not just call it "Windows big erect penis"?

Vista is a nice name it sounds smooth and conjours up nice imagery.

maybe i am missing something...but wouldnt this just be the name it goes under for beta?  XP didnt get its final retail name until near launch, right?

longhorn was just the alpha name...

maybe i am mistaken though?

Longhorn was the internal name for developers on the project.

Well internal names can be silly, the company I'm with right now is using authors for it's internals names. Cromwell, Yeats, Joyce, etc...

I want download Windows Vista announcement video.

As for the name, it will eventually surface to be good. Longhorn was, after all, an OK codename.

For those that would like to mourn the loss  :
