samo123_uk
I would use Dreamweaver so then you can preview what the page will look like on the fly. And Dreameaver is much better than Front Page any day, Front Page includes so much sh*t in the code. Jessterw
Notepad or the Visual Studio Development Environment (version 6) for color coding. Also Frontpage has a code view as well, although I only recommend Frontpage for begginers or small businesses. sunnyy4
I code my pages the n00bies way -- FrontPage. For those of you with DreamWeaver, how big of a learning curve is there with DreamWeaver, and what good features are there? Sticktron
The best tool out there is HomeSite. As long as you turn off the design tab, it is as l33t as using notepad, but there is tag insight, color coding, w3c compliance checking, search+replace across multiple files, and the ability to open multiple files at one time. If you are a professional web developer these features make work alot more efficient. TomHall
I use FrontPage 2002 because my server has got FrontPage extensions, so editting the website is real smooth and easy. I don't really see a disadavantage of using it compared to dreamweaver? Probably because I have used it for so long and dont see myself as a hardcore web designer! :) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/34860-how-do-you-code-your-webpages/#findComment-339805 Share on other sites
EidrahS
I use: FireworksMX for Design & Layout FlashMX for some animations DreamweaverMX to put it all together. Ive tried GoLive, Notepad, FrontPage etc - - but the MX Family still rules anyday. - - Anyway using a WYSIWYG program is way faster. check my site: http://www.imagehouse.co.za not finished yet Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/34860-how-do-you-code-your-webpages/#findComment-339824 Share on other sites

liar2
I use notepad for coding all of my pages and view it in IE. But when I'm too lazy to figure something out myself, I'll use Dreamweaver. sp00nman
I use notepad and Frontpage 98 (best version). I layout the design for one page with Frontpage 98, and then put in all the extras (images, context, etc) by hand with notepad. After that I just use the original as a template... I get rid of some of the garbage that FP puts in as well... thingsforjason
dreamweaver, notepad, editpad, visual interdev... i don't see the point in spending time thinking about table layouts when i can just draw it out and tweak it later. same with style sheets and even html links...i'm just lazy :D Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/34860-how-do-you-code-your-webpages/#findComment-346177 Share on other sites
