This is how I change those icons: Do the thing in the start menu/properties to remove them from your start menu. Go to the program files folder and create a shortcut for each one in their respective folders, then right click the shortcut, change the icon, rename it (so it doesn't say 'shortcut to....blah'), then right click it again and select 'pin to start menu' Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest deadzombie Posted July 21, 2002 Share Posted July 21, 2002 Sorry, like alot of people around here I spend more time customizing my system sometimes than I actually do being productive-it's hard to remember everything I do exactly. Those icons can be changed with iconpackager, E-icons, Microangelo, IconXP or Icon Workshop. Or you can drag the email/ internet shortcuts from your quicklaunch into that area on the start menu, then remove the originals...the new shortcuts can be customized with a right click. If anything, the most work I do on my computer is for my upcoming web sites, findyoursong.com and gamedaytalk.com. Not just to make my screen look pretty (although its nice to have a fresh, cool-looking environment)... if I wanted just looks I'd buy a mac. :p lol, jk mac'rs.
