I grabbed the one posted on IGN, which I assume is the same firmware, and it works just fine. You never know what flags might be in there that might prevent FUTURE upgrades from working. I'm surprised they allowed an upgrade to run on a system from another region. I'm not saying that it WILL fail, I'm saying that it MIGHT in the future. Just be patient.
