- For users who don't know, Colin is refering to Conversation Logging.

Forgive me if i'm wrong, but I can see no evidence for Conversation Logging. Not in the sence I mean anyway. I mean logging and saving to a text file. The "Logging" feature in Talk at the moment doesn't save to a file, it just keeps the information temporarily, so you know what you were talking about if you accidently close the window.

right click on the tray icon, then about menu, you will see a hidden message:

play 23 21 13 16 21 19 . 7 1 13 5

translate it using 1 = a 2 = b 3 = c etc

play wumpus.game

Instructions from Wikipedia:

Add wumpus.game@gmail.com to your buddy list, allow it to add you to its buddy list, and send it a text message (anything works). Instructions will be offered if you say 'y' when it asks.

I am loving it so far. We should have some options though: like:

1. To not have the box pop up telling you what the person said when the box already flashes.

2. Emoticons? Where are they?

3. I will think of more!

Otherwise it is great for the first release.

Is it even possible to change the display name?

Right now my full name is there, but I want my short nickname.

I don't think so. AFAIK if you really don't want your full name to show, you'll have to go to this page and change your first name to a nickname and leave your last name blank. But then that also applies to outgoing Gmail.

If anyone needs them, I have 50 gmail invites. PM me if you need one.

Regarding the client, I have to say I love it. I know it lacks some necessary features, like file transfer, but I really like having a chat client so clean and simplistic. Plus it looks cool, and only uses a little memory. I really hope when they add other features, the window design doesn't change too much or gets bloated.

And I really like the way if you post several messages one after the other, your name only appears once, and all messages get apended, saving space. Smart.

EDIT: This service, as well as the recent adition of Santo Domingo (my hometown) to Google Earth, has just made me love the Google people even more. Boy, I wish I worked there.
