Deathray
It basically says... Federer will own you without a doubt, even on an off day when his backhand isn't so perfect... I imagine when professional tennis players try to figure out Federer they go through depression :p Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/372572-wikipedia-has-great-info-on-federer-playing-style/#findComment-586530320 Share on other sites

Until then, Federer will continue to give a false impression that he is head and shoulders above anyone that has ever played the game. Powa
He is head and shoulders above the retxthough. THe skill he has is that he can come off a close game against a mediocre opponent and then destroy a world class player. He knows when to step the game up. Hawkeye
Agassi, US Final the other week. 586535121[/snapback] LOL. You know, knowing BOOG's posting style with regard to athletes he may not particularly think deserve as much hype as they are given, I could've called his reply to that Agassi suggestion on the spot, but I wanted him to do it anyway! Agassi is definitely past his prime already. While he can still play good tennis on occasion, he is a shell of his former self. Sampras also had one match against Federer, but that was his last year on the tour, so he was clearly past his prime. I actually think he's a very good player....its simply the lack of high quality players on the tour. Put him with Becker, Lendl, Sampras, etc in their prime...then we would see....but there are simply not a lot of quality in the association. BroChaos Veteran Posted September 17, 2005 Veteran Share Posted September 17, 2005 honestly, i think federer would destroy anybody in the history of tennis. you can say agassi is past his prime, but if i recall correctly, he just finished 2nd at the U.S. Open. don't talk about andre like he isn't good, because he is still better than 99% of the players out there. don't believe me though, andre said it himself. there has never been anyone like federer. swordsman74
That Wikipedia article seems to have been deleted today. Any ideas why? I could see if someone had just created it and it was just a fanboy thing, but the history shows it has been out there since February, with lots of edits. I don't understand the Mod's comment: * 08:57, 16 September 2005 Woohookitty deleted "Roger Federer's playing style" (del per Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Roger_Federer%27s_playing_style) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/372572-wikipedia-has-great-info-on-federer-playing-style/#findComment-586537471 Share on other sites
