Peter Lyon
I was talking about the freezer 7 pro, but i have huge airflow in my system, so my experience may be unusual... but i still only beat the stock cooler by 1 degree (i applied the stock heatsink with as5)

+Audioboxer Subscriber² Posted February 28, 2008 Subscriber² Share Posted February 28, 2008 can't seem to get my E6600 past 3.30GHz (366.67x9). RAM 4-4-4-12 T1 @ 733.33MHztook crazy voltage just to get it that high too.. temps are at 40C/60C 4 hours orthos stable 3DMark06: 14485 While you hear a lot of people flapping around saying an E6600 should go to 3.6Ghz stable, it just isn't that simple. Many E6600's only hit around 3-3.2Ghz, infact most do. 3.6Ghz is for lucky people who got a good chip. 3.3Ghz is a great return on that chip, but what voltage are you at? You shouldn't push more than 1.5 on air if you can help it, and definitely not more than 1.55 on air. I've managed to get 3.4Ghz and it's stable so far,

CrashG
Updated: ASUS P5K-E Core2Duo E6550 @ 2.8GHz (400x7) 1.192v Stock HSF Temps 36c Idle / 55c running Orthos for 8 Hours with no errors. G.Skill DDR2-800 4-4-3-5-24-2T 2.1v I belive my temps were off in the other post. I think I mixed stock speed idle temp and oc'd load temp. Now the temps look fine. Blackhearted
Mine aren't much special: CPU: Athlon 64 x2 4000+(brisbane) @ 2825mhz stable with just a little voltage increase. Stock is 2100. On the stock cooler atm but i plan to replace that with something better soon. GPU: MSI 8600GT OC @ 650/1675/1700, from the stock 580/1508/1600. ViperAFK
Got my 9600GT at 730/1825/2006 haven't even tried going higher yet but will, this thing overclocks real well, temps hardly went up at all and it's the stock single clot cooling. actually really brought framerates in crysis up enough so I could leave all the settings on high and play smoothly.
