well so much for asking him to post screen shots or anything after that post.

edt: Where did it go?

Mod deleted my post, it was too heated. Oh well, subscribers are apparently allowed to diss regular members. Anyways, your right, it'll leak eventually. I bet in an hour or so.

I hardly think you can consider a beta warez.  This isnt a product they're selling yet.

Your talking about leaking on irc and torrent, that is warez.

If your not subscribed then your not meant to have a beta.

No, I just haven't gotten to everybody else yet. Yours stood out. I'm going through the thread.

it is cool, but not as cool as i was expecting. To drag windows, you cannot just click any place on the title bar. You must click over the text in order to drag. That is very strange. But it looks great.

But ask yourself this, are they loosing money on a product that they are not selling? They already haev the money from the subscribers for a previous product. As a thanks for that they are rewarding them with this "inside" preview of whats to come. So really, the subscribers didnt pay for it either, this was like an added bonus or gift. Due to that, I dont think a beta can be warez since no money is lost. Infact, giving more people a free sneak peek of whats to come I think would increase sales, not hinder it, especially in these early stages.

Wow really?

Trying it out now. It has 3 new themes that look pretty nice. WB no longer loads in the system tray and it seems pretty buggy at this point. Of course it's only a Beta so we probably should expect that. At this point sometimes you can drag window sometimes you can't. It has great potential though.

Stop trying to justify why you should be able to get it for free. If you want it that badly right now, stop your crying and pay the money to get the object desktop subscription. WindowsBlinds 4.xx users are not getting this for free, it is only those who have paid for the object desktop subscription and are entitled to receive every product update released by stardock over the course of their annual subscription. WB 4.xx users who bought after a certain time will receive wb5 as an upgrade, because they paid full price for wb4 and only received full functionality for a month of two.

I'm not sure what skin you are tying out, but I don?t have any problems with having to drag windows from where there is text only...and I?ve tried all the skins that wb5 comes wit:huh:huh: Performance wise, I haven't noticed any major slow downs this far. So far so good(Y) (Y)

I'm having no dragging issues at all. Interesting.

There is a specific problem with various older GeForce cards (4xxx, 4xx Go, possibly some 5xxx). On these the alpha channel is not being honoured, and so the titlebars are excessively bright and non-clickable. This is a driver bug. The WindowBlinds dev team is trying to work around it, but we figured it wasn't serious enough to hold up the beta for people who wanted it now (especially as ATI or newer NVIDIA customers do not appear to be affected).

Nice! Glad to know.. deffinatly interested in this product when its released. :)

There are some open issues with cards around the GeForce 46xx/5xxx era. It seems to be stripping the alpha channel, which is causing the oversaturation of the top/bottom frames and the "only drag from the text" bit (which I believe is related) that people have reported.

Please remember this is the first beta and there are going to be some bumps. If you're uncomfortable with beta software, just enjoy the screenshots from the people that are for the moment. :)
